After high school, Teresa stayed in Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University and went on to law school at St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. Teresa's first job out of law school was at a personal injury law firm. Teresa practiced in larger firms in San Antonio and Austin before deciding that she would be more fulfilled if she was able to form a personal relationship with her clients. Since 2017, Teresa has accomplished this goal by running her own law office focused only on personal injury and getting to know each client and their story. Every client is more than their claim.
